Wonderful Green Tea

Green_Tea.png Green tea is becoming more and more popular for its countless health benefits it has to offer . In fact and until recently, research continues to reveal the many claims of green tea and its benefits. There are many case studies accessible for research.

China and Japan has used green tea for many centuries as a therapeutic beverage to support health of the mind and body. It comes from the plant called 'camellia sinenses' and has a unique taste other than regular tea. There are selections of green teas with different flavors. The various types of teas are distinguished by the time the leaves were picked and from the time it was packaged. Eventhough, green tea has been used culturally for many generations, it remains exhilarating but yet seems new.

Green tea is an antioxidant that contains a chief component known as 'epigallocatechin -3 gallate (EGCG) and is good for one's health. Some medicinal benefits of green tea are:

  • Increased Metabolic Rate
  • Destroys Free Radicals
  • Promotes Oral Health
  • Controls Blood Pressure
  • Lowers Blood Sugar Level
  • Builds Immune System

Initially, the choice to integrate green tea into my daily diet was solely an alternative to coffee and nothing more. At the time, the benefits were unknown until I began to research and read into it. As a result, I now drink at least 3 to 4 cups of Tazo Organic Green Tea daily! Nevertheless, there is an array of green teas to enjoy!
